When we decided to redo our kitchen and dining room, we looked all over for the perfect kitchen island. I love my Homestyles cart. I put it together myself at 9 months pregnant. Also the customer service was incredible, we had one broken peice in our box and I thought it was going to be such as hassle to get it replaced. Not one bit, I called that evening and the next morning received a call back saying to just toss the broken peice a new on was on the way! I will definatly buy from Homestyles again!

The quality of this kitchen cart for the price is really quite excellent. I was a little leery of buying something like this on line, but the end result was just as nice as it appeared in the photo and as advertised. The only negative thing I would say is that it was advertised as requiring "minimal assembly"--that is a bit misleading. It took 3 of us 2 1/2 hours to assemble the cart--and you couldn't do the job with any less than 2 people--there are a few of the components that are pre-assembled, but you do basically assemble the entire thing yourself. It's not that this is bad--what you save on a good quality item by doing the assembly yourself is worth it--it's just that to me, minimal assembly means that the item is mostly pre-assembled and you are just sticking a few parts together at the end of the process. Better to just say "assembly required" so the buyer knows what to expect. Also, the instructions could have been more explicit in places. We figured it out since we have put together items like this before, but if you hadn't, you might be a little lost in places--such as putting pieces together with cams and cam screws--that's all they tell you, no further explanation. So I would recommend the cart highly, it is beautiful considering the price and that it is a self-assembled item--but just be aware that you do put most of it together yourself.

The fold down area really makes storage of the unit great. When I am not using it, it fits along a wall perfectly, and when I need the extra space, the extra foot is wonderful. The wheel locks don't work very easily, but the cart doesn't roll very well when the breakfast bar is folded out, so it evens out. The storage areas are great. The movable shelves on the side cupboards makes storing odd shaped items great. Other carts I looked at did not have this feature, and I am glad that I chose this cart.

Well made by today's standards. Easy to follow instructions. Sides and back are 1/4" thick. Other wood areas consist of saw-toothed together wood (the product is still nice looking anyway). Screw holes for wheels and back piece need enlarging before assembly. I have difficulty locking the wheels (I don't need to anyway). I would recommend this product.

I was very worried that the quality would not be there when I ordered. However I was very impressed with the quality of the wood and durability of the stand. If you are looking for a kitchen island without the [$] price tag, this is definately it. I have a small kitchen and desperately needed some extra storage space. This was the perfect solution. It fits under some bay windows, and I can move it around to use as extra "counter space" (as a buffet per sey) when entertaining.

This is a great value for the money I spent on this, it was fairly easy to put together, and all the parts fit the way they were supposed to. It was smaller than I thought, but that is probably a user measurer issue. The wood is very nice, and the design is very functional. I would definitely recommend this product!

I love it, just what I needed. I can roll this anywhere in my kitchen when I am trying out new recipes or cooking for a crowd. The extra table leg comes in handy when I have a bunch over for a buffet style meal.
I would have given this 5 stars except for one thing. It was advertised as "minimal assembly required", which I thought might mean "put on doors and wheels"--that sort of thing. NO, you put the entire thing together yourself. Now, it was not hard to do, just time consuming and a little tricky at times if you are doing it by yourself.

I am very please with my purchase. [...] Putting it together only took 2 hours and it fit together and works fine. Reading other reviews about this item convinced me it was a good buy and they were right. It was the lowest price I could find for this item and it was just what I was looking for. I like the color of the wood and the size. I wanted an island in my new kitchen but did not want one that could not be moved. This item fit perfect.

Two drill holes were missing to attach top to unit. Specialized screws to attach made it difficult to complete.

It was exactly what I expected. I don't really like the utensil caddie on the side, but I can live with it. Otherwise, it is very sturdy and solid. I was worried that the flip up top would be wimpy if my daughter leans on it, but it is very sturdy also. Putting it together was very easy. And this was the best price I could find on the web, very affordable.

I have this next to a wall by a window and keep it stationary. The bar part is always up and I could even put some stools on the other side too! I did't put the towel holder on, that was a little big for me and it looks great with out it. The knife block has a removable bottom for easy cleaning, it though that was a great feature. It looks very nice in my kitchen! IT was really easy to put together!!

The man I hired to assemble this was blown away by the quality. So am I! The design is impeccable. My only complaint is that the knife rack is useless, leaving the knives to float and bang against each other, so I just took it off and threw it away. I'm sorry there was something to complain about, because overall I am just thrilled with the high quality and beauty of this piece! And the price was unbelievable, considering the quality.
